The department was set up in 1945. In 1970-1980s about 100 specialists were employed. It is one of the leading departments of NIICHIMMASH.

Achievements |
Two doctorate`s and 21 candidate`s degrees have been received based on the developments made at the department.
Over 200 authors` invention certificates and patents have been obtained.
The centrifuges and separators designed at the department are currently operated in many sectors of industry in Russia and abroad.
