Specialization

Research into corrosion resistance and development of corrosion control methods:

- quality control method development;

- a selection of new corrosion-resistance materials for equipment;

- detection of apparatus corrosion failure causes;

- development of engineering documentation for corrosion problems, manufacture of chemical equipment, welding, etc.

Expert assessment of all types of metal products both domestic and imported for compliance with Russian standards.

Diagnostics of serviceable condition and evaluation of equipment remaining service life being under jurisdiction of Russia’s Gosgortechnadzor. The issue of industrial safety findings.

Development of production processes and work conducted as follows:

Titanium platinum plating; silver plating; chemical and electrochemical nickel plating, copper plating and galvanizing; nickel electroforming, manufacture of perforated products from corrosion-resistance steels and alloys by photochemical etching.

Studies and selection of the field of application of non-metallic materials of construction and coatings:

assessment of chemical resistance of newly developed plastic materials, rubber, ceramics and other non-metallic materials;

welding of plastic products;

development of engineering documentation for gaskets and packing.

Research & engineering services

Testing of steels and alloys under lab. and field conditions for resistance to general pitting point, intercrystalline corrosion and corrosion cracking.

A selection of domestic analogs of foreign steel grades, alloys and welding materials.

Approval of plants’ and integrated works’ decisions on the issues related to the requirements of Rostechnadzor’s Safety rules and OST (PB 03-108-96,
PB 03-384-00, PB 10-115-96, OST 26-291-94, OST 26-11-06-85,
OST 26.260.3-2001 , etc.).

Development of technology for repair of welding apparatus and vessels.

Development of conditions for heat treatment, plastic metal working and welding of specific parts and assemblies or whole apparatus or a vessel.

Training of welders previously qualified as per PB 03-273-99) to weld high-alloy steels and alloys (Hastelloy C, Hastelloy B, Zirconium).

Metallografic examination of structure the, nature of corrosion failure and defects. Chemical analysis of steels and alloys.

Chemical/heat treatment of parts made from titanium alloys to enhance their resistance to scoring.

Cementation and sealing-off equipment parts.

Welding of sheet and film polymer thermoplastic materials.

A selection of chemically resistant materials for gaskets and packing.

Silver plating, copper plating, galvanizing, nickel plating, oxidation and phosphate treatment of small-sized assemblies and parts.

Titanium platinum plating.

Electrochemical polishing of corrosion-resistant steels.

Hard and protective/decorative anodizing of aluminium alloys.

Scale removal from equipment made from corrosion-resistant steels, alloys and titanium alloys using pastes and solutions.

Technology galvanic silverring of small-sized assemblies and parts without cianits.
