NIICHIMMASH has obtained licenses for the following activities:
1. Space activity: development and supply of prototypes models of life-support systems of space stations and the spaceships. License No.437К (dated 31.03.06.) by Federal space agency for 5 years was issued.
2. Expert examination of industrial safety of chemical, petrochemical , oil processing and other explosion-risk, fire-risk and chemically hazardous production processes and facilities,
examination of the documentation - OODE No.001947 (Х). Licenses were issued by Russia's Gosgortechnadzor.
3. Development of design and engineering documentation for process equipment used in:
chemical, petrochemical, oil processing sectors of industry relative to handling or storage of explosion-risk, fire-risk and toxic substances and mixtures; development of factory standards (for erection,
repair and commissioning) regarding safe operation of explosion-risk, fire-risk and chemically hazardous production processes and facilities. License No.DE-00-007646;

an expert organization in the framework of examination of Rostechnadzor industrial safety (Certificates No. ЭО-02058);

- by meeting the requirements of state and factory standards based on the Institute's
quality system applicable for design documentation and norms;
- by the work quality assurance system in the framework of the Institute's activity

Over 1500 inventions made by NIICHIMMASH's employees are registered in Russia some of them are patented in Great Britain, Germany, the USA, France, Japan and other countries.
1. engineering and consulting services in chemical and oil machine building including equipment delivery under contract.
2. development of design documentation and an introduction of prototypes and serial equipment together with manufacturers including the world's
known types of drying equipment (approximately 100 standard sizes), centrifuges and separators (60 standard sizes), as well as autoclaves, reactors, specially designed products,
acoustic equipment, pressure vessels, heat exchangers and other equipment.
3. development of a number of processes (welding, stamping) for fabricating equipment at chemical machine-building plants by using new materials of construction (austenitic steel grades, Ti-based alloys, etc.).
4. development of techniques and equipment for non-destructive testing (NDT) of weld seams including ultrasonic examination wich are being widely applied currently at manufacturing plants.
5. studies on the structural strength and corrosion of materials of construction, equipment diagnostics (vessels, pipelines, compressors, centrifuges, etc.) including equipment service life calculation and safe operation.
6. development of basic guidelines on design, manufacture, repair, quality control, corrosion, strength NIICHIMMASH's assets analysis, safety, diagnostics and remaining service life, materials of construction used for vessels and apparatus.
7. examination of engineering documentation and design solutions for various types of equipment (vessels, pipelines, machinery, valves, etc.) including equipment imported for compliance with Russia's requirements and safety regulations.
8. expert service (audit) of manufacturing plants' equipment to be used for explosion-risk, fire-risk and chemically hazardous production processes with findings issued and recommendations made to obtain Russia's Gosgortechnadzor's permits.
NIICHIMMASH's assets
The Institute is placed in engineering/laboratory buildings
equipped for design work (design offices), laboratories outfitted for process research and testing of products and materials.
The Institute has a considerable stock of sci.&tech. literature as well as a stock of domestic and international standards and norms.
A sufficient stock of computer art and software used in development of design documentation, strength calculation, automatic plotting, etc. is available.
